Armenia’s State Engineering University to observe 80th anniversary throughout year
YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Events on the 80th anniversary of Armenia’s State Engineering University will start Friday March the 1st, the press service of the University reported.
The first event to be held is a meeting followed by a concert in the university. Jubilee festivities will be held throughout the year.
In 1933 a new university was founded on the basis of the construction and chemical technology universities. The new institution was renamed as Yerevan polytechnic institute having only two faculties and a total of 107 students at the time.
Yerevan polytechnic institute was restructured and remained Armenia’s State Engineering University in November 1991.
Today the University has its branches in Giumry, Vanadzor and Kapan, and prepares engineering bachelors in 31 specialties, masters in 29 specialties and research engineers in 17 specialties. –0--
