YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. Armenia will switch to electronic prescribing, according to the Armenian Healthcare Ministry's telegram channel. 

Electronic prescribing is a technology framework that allows physicians and other medical practitioners to write and send prescriptions to a participating pharmacy electronically instead of using handwritten prescriptions.

The ministry said electronic prescriptions will be provided only through the Armed medical information system.

Reportedly, all licensed pharmacies will have to conclude contracts with Armed, as well as be equipped with a computer and Internet connection. -0-
