YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. General director of the South Caucasus Railway Victor Rebets discussed cooperation between two daughter companies of the Russial Railways at his meeting with advisor to general director Maria Atamanchuk and the head of marketing, Kiudmila Alekseeva, of Railways of Yakutia, the press office of the South Caucasus Railway reported.
The sides discussed cooperation issues and preparations for signing an agreement, according to the report.
Under the agreement, the two daughter companies will cooperate in cargo and passenger transportation, traffic safety issues, information and image policies, as well as in corporate procedures and operation management.
Specific importance is attached to raising children’s and youth’s awareness and arranging recreation programs for railroaders’ families.
In May 2012 the general director of Railways of Yakutia visited Armenia and discussed cooperation with his counterpart in the South Caucasus Railway cjsc.
South Caucasus Railway cjsc is a 100% subsidiary of Russian Railways open joint stock company that is operating Armenian railways under a 30-year concession contract signed in 2008. The contract can be extended for another 10 years.–0—
