Armenian expert: media should cover Eurasian integration organizations’ activities
YEREVAN, January 22. /ARKA/. Andranik Nikoghosyan, chairman of the Modern Eurasia political analysis center’s board, speaking Tuesday at the ceremony of opening a five-day journalism school at Novosti-Armenia News Agency, said attentive and professional coverage of Eurasian integration organizations’ activities is very important in journalists’ work.
“Eurasian space is our future based on the best traditions of our common glorious past,” he said. “Key ideas of the enormous diversity of opinions and attitudes are ought to be reflected and heard.”
Nikoghosyan said that information of Eurasian integration is insufficient today. That is why people often can’t understand the essence of this concept and what impacts it may have on their families and children.
“Therefore, it is necessary to create public platforms for expression of various views,” he said. “This, first of all, will gradually shape ideology, without which any talk about Eurasian integration is senseless.”
The aim of the training organized by North-South Political Analysis Center, RIA Novosti News Agency with participation of Novosti-Armenia International News Agency and Russian Book Houses in Armenia is to upgrade skills of young journalists in Armenia and to provide the country’s media with new human resources.
Attendees of flagship Russian and Armenian media specialists’ master classes will learn more about modern journalism’s merits and its advantage over traditional media. They will also get a better idea of creation of multimedia content. -0-
