YEREVAN, June 12. / ARKA /. The Armenian government has approved Thursday the establishment of the National Center of Excellence in Education. Education and science minister Armen Ashotyan said the Center’s co-founders are the government and AYB School.
"In fact, we are creating a new educational institution that will regulate the process of training of Armenian teachers based on the best international practices and a system of promotion of the best teachers,” the minister said.
According to him, the Centre will be established on the basis of the British educational model. He added that those teachers who will be trained at the Center will be able to claim higher salaries. The decision is part of the program of education development for 2011-2015. -0-
