Armenian Ministry of Agriculture warned farmers in some regions of the country of impending snaps of cold, urging them to take appropriate measures to preserve the future harvest.
YEREVAN, April 17. / ARKA /. Armenian Ministry of Agriculture warned farmers in some regions of the country of impending snaps of cold, urging them to take appropriate measures to preserve the future harvest.
"According to weather service, temperatures in Lori, Tavush and the foothills of Syunik on April 17-20 will drop to 2 degrees below Celsius and damage flowering orchards," it said.
The ministry said farmers may burn fires in their orchards to protect trees from snaps of cold. -0-
