YEREVAN, October 14. / ARKA /. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan awarded today the Medal of Honor to famous Latvian composer Raimond Pauls.
Sargsyan’s press service said Pauls was awarded in recognition of his contribution to the strengthening and development of the Armenian -Latvian cultural ties, as well as for his contribution to world music.
Sargsyan handed the Medal of Honor on Monday during a meeting with the famous composer in Yerevan, and wished him every success.
The President praised Paul’s devotion to culture, stressing that for decades his music has been loved by millions of people, including the Armenians. -0-
