Armenian president ready to support mortgage program for state revenue committee’s personnel
YEREVAN, January 18. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, meeting today with top officials of the State Revenue Committee, pledged support for the mortgage program for the committee’s personnel in response to the committee head, Gagik Khachatryan’s request.
Khachatryan said this is necessary to provide our best specialists with homes and keep them in office.
He also said that the committee needs financial support in creation of a customs laboratory and for ensuring operation of the information and analysis center.
Serzh Sargsyan, on his side, said he see no problems in supporting this program.
“We have implemented many similar programs for young specialists in the recent couple of years, and I see no obstacle for supporting a program for the committee employees, and not only young,” he said adding that it is necessary to specify how much money is needed and to conduct investigation to leave no room for any abuse.
The president said one square meter in a new apartment block for the committee’s personnel will cost AMD 215,000 to 220,000.
Speaking about financing for a customs laboratory, he stressed that if millions of dollars are needed for that, it will be difficult to give such a promise, but if the amount is not so large, it will be possible to do something for putting this project into reality.
Sargsyan also expressed confidence that successful implementation of some measures, particularly to put up new technical requirements to cash registers at some 60,000 economic entities, will enlarge tax revenue and will create resources for financing various projects. ($1 – AMD 406.54).-0----
