Around 100 mln drams allocated for young scientists in Armenia in 2012
YEREVAN, December 24. /ARKA/. About 100 million drams were allocated under a program of young scientists in 2012, Armenian minister of science and education Armen Ashotyan told a press conference Saturday in summarizing yearly results.
The amount has been at the disposal of the country’s council of young scientists. The program helped dozens of young scientists participate in international events and make reports there, Ashotyan said. Apart from that, many scientific seminars and round-table discussions were held in Armenia under the program.
Ashotyan pointed out that Armenia is among CIS leaders for number of publications in prestigious scientific magazines.
“This shows that Armenian science is competitive in the international arena and has taken a leading position in the CIS,” the minister said. –0--
