YEREVAN, June 4. / ARKA /. Austria will provide Armenia’s government with an additional loan of 2 million euro for reequipping two concert halls and a theater, chief of government staff David Harutyunyan said today.
He said the Austrian bank Erste had already provided Armenia with an interest-free loan of 7 million as part of Armenian- Austrian cooperation in science, technology, trade and economy.
He said the additional loan will be provided at 1.1 percent interest rate for 1.7 million euros and 3.5 percent for the rest. The loan is repayable in 11 years.
He said the Armenian government has chosen Austrian companies - Wagner-Biro Austria Stage Systems AG, SALZBRENNER STAGETEC Audio Video Mediensystems GmbH, Electronic Theatre Controls GmbH and consortium Artstech to handle the projects.
He specified that the loan will be used to reequip the Aram Khachaturian concert hall and provide with illuminating and sound equipment the Sundukyan National Academic Theatre and Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.
The projects are to be completed by August 2015. As a result Armenian cultural facilities will meet international standards for concert halls and theaters. -0-
