YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. An average salary of full-paid teachers at secondary schools in Armenia will increase to 152,000 drams in July 2014 from the present AMD 140,400, Armenian Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan said Wednesday at budget hearings in the National Assembly.
“School accountants’ salary will average AMD 132,300 and that of the auxiliary personnel AMD 78,100,” he said.
In the 2014 draft government budget, he said, AMD 70 billion is earmarked for this purpose and current spending.
In accordance with the labor payment law that implies introduction of salary scale in Armenia, pensions will rise 15% on January 1, 2014 and public servants’ salaries will be increased by 40% on July 1, 2014.
According to official statistical reports, the average nominal salary in the public sector reached AMD 127,200 in July 2013 after rising 8%, compared with the same month a year earlier. ----0-----
