YEREVAN, January 8. / ARKA /. Armenia’s weather service said the cloudy weather prevailing in the capital city Yerevan and the Ararat valley since early December will stay on until mid-January.
Gagik Surenyan, head of a service unit, blamed the clouds and the fog for the cold weather in Yerevan and surrounding lowland regions of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor provinces.
He said temperatures are expected to rise across the whole territory of Armenia by 2-4 degrees from January 10. In Ararat Valley they will grow by 1-2 degrees. He added that no snow is expected until the 13th of January.
The clouds and fog will prevail January 8-12 in the Ararat valley. The current temperature in Yerevan is 6 degrees below zero. -0-
