YEREVAN, March 27. /ARKA/. A steep drop in temperatures is expected in Ararat Valley and the foothills on March 31, Armenia’s ministry of emergencies reported referring to ArmHydrometeocenter.
The air temperature will fall to minus 2 degrees at night, soil surface temperature is expected t go down to 5 degrees below zero.
In general, temperatures will drop by 8-12 degrees across the country on March 30. Temperature in Yerevan will be 20-22 degrees in the next days, but will go down to 15-17 degrees in the afternoon on March 29 and to 4-6 degrees on March 30-31. Two degrees below zero may be recorded in the capital on Monday night (March 31).
No precipitation is expected in Armenia on Friday March 28, rains are possible in most regions and in the capital this afternoon, on Friday night and on the weekend.
Western wind speed is 2-7 meters per second, but may go up to 20-25 meters per second in Yerevan and some parts on Saturday March 29.
