Cultural event at Garni museum preserve not a party, head of Armenia’s central bank says
YEREVAN, June 20. /ARKA/. The cultural event held at Garni preserve for the guests of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) was neither a party, nor a central bank corporate event, as it is alleged in media, the press office of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) told ARKA.
The events held in the territory of Armenia’s historical and cultural monuments have been talked a lot about in the media and social networks, says the report. Among them was the one organized in Garni museum preserve on June 18.
The Central Bank says the event was an official reception organized together with the EFSE on the occasion of the EFSE annual meeting. The tight cultural program gave the guests an opportunity to become familiar with Garni as a cultural heritage pearl and enjoy the high-level music night, according to the report.
About 300 delegates from eighteen countries attended the event, including high-ranking representatives from financial and state organizations-members of the Fund.
The initiators of the event met all the requirements made by the Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection Agency, says the report.
Neither Garni pageant temple nor any other cultural value was used during the event, the Central Bank says.
The moving stage and tables were set at the site near the temple and were dismantled immediately after the event, according to the report. The police ensured security; the territory of the preserve was cleaned up after the event. Garni museum preserve was closed for tourists only from 17:00 on June 18. –0--
