Direct flights between Yerevan and Beirut to resume July 5
YEREVAN, July 3. / ARKA /. Lebanese Middle East Airlines said it will launch direct flights between Beirut and Yerevan on July 5.
The Armenian Commerce and Trade Chamber said a Lebanese delegation made of officials and businessmen will arrive in Armenia to attend the flight opening ceremony.
On July 6 the commerce and trade chambers of Armenia and Lebanon will sign a cooperation agreement which will be followed by a joint press conference of heads of both chambers - Martin Sargsyan of Armenia and Mohammad Choker of Lebanon.
The Lebanese delegation will include director of Middle East Airlines Mohamed Al-Houthi, Minister of Industry Vrezh Sabonjian, former ministers and current members of the Lebanese Parliament of Armenian origin, the deputy head of the Central Bank of Lebanon Haroutiun Samuelyan and others.
Direct air flights between Lebanon and Armenia were terminated by Armenia’s national airline Armavia that ceased flights from the 1st April 2013. -0-
