Drivers from three countries to be allowed to work in Russia with their national driving licenses
YEREVAN, July 14. /ARKA/. The Russian authorities' requirement to foreigners professionally engaged in transportation in Russia to receive Russian driving licenses will not apply to citizens of Kyrgyzstan, lenta.ru reports.
According to the internet resource, appropriate amendments will be passed by Russian lawmakers on Friday.
Citizens of Belarus and Kazakhstan, where Russian is an official language, will be allowed to work in Russia with their national licenses as well.
In June 1, the prohibition of using foreign driving licenses by people professionally engaged in transportation service in Russia's territory came in force on June 1.
It was said that this restriction is prompted by foreigner drivers' improper Russian language skills. -0---
