Electric train to start operating between Giumry and Sanahin of Armenia from February 18
YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. The South Caucasus Railway will open an electric train between Giumry and Sanahin on February 18, the company’s press service reported.
The train will depart from Giumry every day at 7:10 in the morning and arrive in Sanahin at 9:48. In the opposite direction the train will head at 15:10 and arrive at Griumry station at 17:36 local time.
Due to opening of the new line, time for departure of Giumry-Yerevan and Yeraskh-Yerevan will also change. As from February 18, the electric train from Giumry to Yerevan will depart every day at 8:35; the train from Yeraskh will be heading 7:10.
As no passengers get off at Bagravan and Shirakavan stations, Yerevan-Giumry-Yerevan electric train will not stop at these stations any more.
South Caucasus Railway cjsc is a 100% subsidiary of Russian Railways open joint stock company that is operating Armenian railways under a 30-year concession contract signed in 2008. The contract can be extended for another 10 years. -0-
