YEREVAN, January 14. /ARKA/. Fair weather and warming is expected in Yerevan and Ararat Valley in the next few days, Novosti-Armenia reported referring to the head of forecasts at Hydrometeorological service of Armenia’s ministry of emergencies Gagik Surenyan.
The abundant snowfall that started in Yerevan and adjoining regions Monday night stopped by morning. Clouds have cleared off and temperature warmed up a little bit. Clouds and fog had led to cold spell in the last month and a half in Ararat Valley and foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayotsdzor regions.
A strong cyclone was needed for the fog to clear out to ensure turbulence. The Monday night snowfall was caused by a strong cyclone from the Black Sea, Surenyan said.
This, according to the expert, helped go back to usual weather conditions for Yerevan, i.e. warmer temperatures in daytime than at nights.
The temperature will be minus 2-4 degrees in Yerevan in daytime in the next two days, Surenyan said.
Right now it is minus 5 in Yerevan. –0--
