YEREVAN, October 9. /ARKA/. GeoProMining (GPM) diversified international group said it had supported people with disabilities in Yerevan to participate in the wine festival held in Areni village on October 6.
“In the framework of its corporate social responsibility program “Resources for benefits”, GPM provided them with transport, meals, accommodation thus enabling them to participate in a short-term national holiday,” the source states.
It is the third year the wine festival in Areni has been held with the support of Ministry of Economy within the ecological tourism development program. Besides degustation of the best Armenian wines, the festival was also full of folk festivities and an entertaining cultural program.
Over 10,000 people, including the state administration and foreign guests, took part in this event. The goal of the festival is to present the rich culture and national peculiarities of Armenia and promote socio-economic development of the regions.
GeoProMining was founded in 2001. In Armenia it owns two assets – the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine and GPMGold, developing the Sotk gold mine and running Ararat gold recovery factory. -0-
