“Helen” camp season kicks off for challenged kids supported by Bank VTB (Armenia)
YEREVAN, August 13. /ARKA/. “Helen” holiday camp season kicked off for physically challenged kids, supported by Bank VTB (Armenia), the bank’s press office reported.
The inclusive summer camp 2014 at “Helen” will grant vacation opportunities to over 200 kids this year.
The bank paid for the capital repair of the kitchen and purchased kitchenware for the camp. Last year Bank VTB (Armenia) provided financing for repair of the resort and creation of the required infrastructures, improved the cottages and the area for better transportation of kids in wheelchairs across the camp.
The bank also organized a fund-raising among the staff for supporting the kids spending their holiday at the resort. Its staff attended the charity event and the subbotnik (collective clean-up) at the resort on August 10. Various entertainments were arranged, including clown and animated film hero performances, and gifts were presented to the kids at the end. Finally, children launched balloons with their wishes written on them.
Bank VTB (Armenia) transferred the ownership of “Helen” resort to “Liarzhek kiank” (Full Life) non-governmental organization in 2012. The bank has been supported the NGO since 2010.
“Challenged kids need our attention, and we should not stay aside from their problems”, general director and chairman of board of Bank VTB (Armenia) Yury Gusev said.
The head of the NGO Suren Maghakyan, in his turn, thanked the bank, individuals and organizations providing support for Inclusive summer camp” project.
Bank VTB (Armenia) closed joint stock company became a member of VTB financial group in April 2004. The second biggest Russian bank, Bank VTB open joint-stock company, is now the full owner of Bank VTB (Armenia). The bank used to be among leaders of Armenian banking system on a number of basic indicators. Currently the bank has the biggest network in Armenia – 67 branch offices throughout the country. –0--
