Home prices in Yerevan grow by 10 percent

Some 16,270 real estate transactions were registered in Armenia in April 2019, by 28.9% more than in the same month last year, the Cadastre Committee said.
YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Some 16,270 real estate transactions were registered in Armenia in April 2019, by 28.9% more than in the same month last year, the Cadastre Committee said. It said the largest number of transactions was registered in Yerevan – 35.1% of the total number, and the smallest number in Vayots Dzor province – 1.7%.
Kotayk province accounted for 12.2% of the total number, Ararat province for 10.3%, Armavir for 8%, Lori for 6.6%, Shirak for 4.4%, Aragatsotn for 4.9%, Gegharkunik for 7.7%, Syunik for 5.2% and Tavush for 3.9%.
According to the Cadastre Committee, 37% of the deals were sale and purchase of homes, 14.7% were primary registrations of housing.
The average market price of one square meter of housing in apartment buildings in Yerevan in April grew by 0.8% from March, but compared to the same period last year, the average price increased by 9.8%.
The highest prices were recorded in the capital's administrative district Kentron - 590 thousand drams per square meter, the lowest - in Nubarashen district - 173 thousand drams.
The highest average price per square meter of housing outside capital Yerevan was in the resort town of Tsaghkadzor (283,600 drams) and the lowest - in Dastakert rural community in Syunik region (21,400 drams). ($1 - 480.27 drams). -0-
