YEREVAN, January 24. / ARKA /. Improvement of medical service will be one of the priorities of the defense ministry in 2014, Armenia’s defense minister Seyran Ohanyan said at a news conference today.
"Given non-combat deaths in the armed forces this and last year the ministry has launched serious preventive measures. We are having a meeting with the health minister today to discuss this issue,” said Ohanyan.
According to him, the ministry is looking into the possibility of creating a single body to ensure the integral medical service in the armed forces.
He said some major changes were made in the military medical service with the focus on improvement of conditions in military hospitals. -0-
