Large buses to replace passenger minivans in Armenian capital

YEREVAN, February 25. / ARKA /. Number 100 and 144 minibuses running in Yerevan will be replaced before the end of this week by 36 large buses, the Yerevan municipality said.

It said the buses that will replace number 144 minibuses will retain the same number, while the buses replacing number 100 minibuses will be transporting passengers under number 47.

As of early February, about 2,100 minibuses and about 580 buses were running in Yerevan. The main supplier of buses to Armenia is China. Buses are also imported from Ukraine. Yerevan authorities are negotiating also imports of Belarus-made buses.-0-
