YEREVAN, August 1. / ARKA /. Armenia’s ministry of health plans to expand the list of citizens entitled to free and partly-paid urgent heart surgeries, minister Armen Muradian told at a press conference on Friday, he called to sum up his first 100 days in office.
According to him, currently free and discounted heart surgery operations are available only to socially disadvantaged and poor groups of people, as well as military personnel, members of their families and public servants.
The minister said under a new government program starting from January 2015 this right will also extend to citizens whose insecurity score is 30.0, down from the current 36.
The minister said the government has already approved this program and will be releasing 500 million drams a year to finance it. ($ 1 - 406.01 drams). -0 -
