YEREVAN, December 7. /ARKA/. The halfback of “Shakhter” (Donetsk, Ukraine) and the Armenian national team won the 2012 “best legionnaire” title in the poll conducted by the “Ukrainian football” newspaper.
Three out of five nominations have gone to footballers of “Shakhter”. It was the 22nd poll carried out by the newspaper. It was also the most large-scale one as the editors-in-chief’s office received letters from more than two thousand readers.
There were ten candidates for each nomination. The winners were determined based on opinions of 50 football experts and 50 journalists, as well as the letters received from readers during a month.
Mircha Luchesku became best coach of the year; Andrey Pyatov was nominated as the best goalkeeper and Genrikh Mkhitaryan as the best legionnaire of 2012.
Halfback of “Dnepr” Yevgeniy Konoplyanka was named the footballer of the year and vice-president of “Karpati” club Victor Vatsko became best football commentator. –0--
