YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s health and agriculture ministries have done whatever necessary to ward off brucellosis, the press office of the health ministry reported on Wednesday.
Earlier, the country's agriculture ministry and food safety agency said that brucellosis cases have been reported in some cattle-breeding farms in Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn and Shirak provinces.
In particular, blood of those people who had contacts with the infected cattle or have eaten their meat and have drunk their milk was examined and 80 people were diagnosed with brucellosis.
Residents of the high-risk areas received necessary information, and they are under tight medical control. -0----
