YEREVAN, May 30. / ARKA /. In 2013 per capita health care spending in Armenia was 21,000 drams ($50), health minister Armen Muradyan said today.
Last year the government-funded health care spending amounted to 64.4 billion drams, 89.6 % of the projected amount or 1.5% of the GDP or 6.2% of the total government spending, the minister said at a discussion of 2013 budget execution.
According to him, 42.3% of the spending was channeled into hospital services, 36.2 percent on out-hospital expenses, 5 % on public health programs, 4.2% on the purchase of pharmaceutical products and 12.3 % on some other health programs. -0-
