PSRC sets new electricity tariffs for consumers in Armenia

Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) set Friday new electricity tariffs for consumers, which is supplied by Electric Network of Armenia company.
YEREVAN, June 7./ARKA/. Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) set Friday new electricity tariffs for consumers, which is supplied by Electric Network of Armenia company.
The new day-time electricity tariff will be 38 drams per 1kWh (including VAT) instead of the current 30 drams, and night-time tariff –28 drams (including VAT) instead of the current 25 drams.
The new tariff plan will enter into force on 7 July 2013.
The same day, the new tariff plan for natural gas consumers will get effective. According to the new plan, the consumers who use up to 10,000 cubic meters of gas per month will have to pay 156,000 drams per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT).
The current gas tariff for those who use up to 10,000 cubic meters is 132,000 drams per 1,000 cubic meters.
Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA) owns and manages Armenia’s medium and low voltage networks. It is also the exclusive seller of electrical power in Armenia, and is owned fully by Russian Inter RAO UES. It has some 950,000 consumers. ($1-414.92 drams). -0-
