Roads partly impassible, Selim Pass closed for traffic: Armenian ministry of emergencies

YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. All international and inter-community roads in Armenia were mainly open Monday morning, apart from Selim Pass and Sotk-Karvachar section, the country’s ministry of emergencies reported.

The impassible sections are Yerevan-Sevan, Yeghegnadzor-Goris, Berd-Chambarak, as well as the turns of Kyarki and Dilijan. 

All highways are icy, says the report

The ministry of emergencies advises drivers to start out only in case of an extreme need and use winter tires then, according to the report. N.V. –0--

Georgia’s ministry of emergencies reports Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all motor vehicles using anti-skid chains. –0--
