Some 35 lifts in Yerevan apartment blocks in poor condition

YEREVAN, June 20. /ARKA/. Condition of some 35 elevators in Yerevan’s multi-apartment blocks, where technical inspection was carried out, has been assessed as unsatisfactory, chief expert of the National Technical Safety Center Lusine Hovhannisyan said. Operation of these lifts has been suspended, she said.

Operation of these lifts has been suspended, she said.
Out of a total of 4,141 elevators in Yerevan only 1,034 were approved for further maintenance. Technical inspection of elevators is under way both in Yerevan and in the regions, Hovhannisyan said.
The expert also said lifts undergo technical inspection every year. Then the center suggests the entities eliminating failures wherever found and provides a final conclusion afterwards.
There are a total of 4,348 elevators in dwelling houses and 1,864 ones in administrative buildings in Armenia today. –0--
