Some 97% of Yerevan population to have 24-hour water supply by 2016
YEREVAN, June 13. /ARKA/. Some 97% of subscribers in Yerevan will have 24-hour water supply by 2016, director of Yerevan Djur West Branch Karapet Ohanyan said.
As of the end of May 2014, 70% of the population in the capital had round-the-clock supply, he told a press conference on Friday.
Water supply duration of some 26% of subscribers was from 17 to 23.5 hours as of May 31 and 4% had 12-17 hours.
This means all subscribers in Yerevan are provided with a minimum of 17-hour water supply, apart from subscribers with who the company reached separate agreements. The branch director also said there are water supply problems mainly in the private sector of the capital.
