Surveillance cameras to be installed in children’s railways

YEREVAN, March 19. / ARKA /. Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan ordered to install surveillance cameras in the Children's Railway Park, located in a picturesque area along the Hrazdan River Gorge, which will operate round the clock and everyone will be able to keep track of what is happening in the area.

The municipality is also working to improve and ensure the illumination in the  Children's Railway Park and in the adjacent tunnel.

The Children's Railway opened in Yerevan in 1937. It has two stations, a platform and a 45 meter-long tunnel.

In 2012 the South Caucasus Railways, a Russian-owned company operating Armenia’s railways, financed the Children’s Railways’ major reconstruction. -0-
