YEREVAN, August 30. /ARKA/. A 50% discount should be set for Syrian Armenian students of higher school preparation courses, says Armenian minister of education Armen Ashotyan in his letter to rectors of Armenian higher schools.
Apart from this, Armenian students can transfer from Syrian higher schools to the Armenian ones if difference in credits is not more than 20. In this respect, a deadline should be set to pass an exam and continue study in the new higher school.
Today the tuition fee in different higher schools in Armenia is between 300 and 700 thousand drams (about $740-$1,720) and 100-204,000 drams (about $246-$500) in the State Engineering University of Armenia.
According to UN higher commissioner for refuges (UNHCR) there are about 7,000 Syrian Armenians living in Armenia now.–0--
