YEREVAN, January 8. / ARKA /. Ten people were killed and 82 were injured in 53 road accidents reported in the first week of the new year in Armenia, the Armenian police said today.
The police said 24 cases of accidents were reported in the capital city Yerevan. One of the 10 people was killed in a road accident in the capital city and 35 were injured. Five drivers (four in Yerevan ) were found to be drunk.
"Compared with the same period in 2013 the number of fatal accidents in the country decreased by one case and the number of accidents by two," the police said. -0-
