Traveling to Vanadzor from Yerevan gets by 200 drams more expensive
YEREVAN, June 19. /ARKA/. Susanna Tonoyan, a press secretary for Armenian Transport and Communication Ministry, confirmed that a company operating minibuses transporting passengers between Yerevan and Armenia’s third largest town of Vanadzor has raised fare by 200 drams to 1,400 drams.
She said the permission was given after the company asked the ministry to authorize the rise prompted by increase in prices for fuel and spare parts. The ministry had considered the company’s request and found it justified, she said.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, petrol and diesel prices went 9.9% and 4.9% up respectively in May 2012, compared with the same month a year before. ($1 – AMD 414.96). -0-
