YEREVAN, October 16. /ARKA/. Russia’s National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Spivakov will give two concerts in Armenia – one on November 10 in Yerevan’s concert hall named for Aram Khachaturyan and the other on November 11 in Gyumri’s dramatic theatre, Novosti-Armenia reports referring to the press office of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia.
The concerts organized by the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia came as part of celebration of the 110th birthday of Aram Khachaturyan.
Vladimir Spivakov is a virtuosic violinist and a prominent orchestra conductor, the founder of Moscow Virtuosi State Chamber Orchestra, the art director of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and the president of the Moscow International House of Music.
The maestro has repeatedly traveled to Armenia and successfully performed here in full halls.
In December 2008, Moscow Virtuosi conducted by Spivakov gave concerts in Yerevan and Gyumri to mark the 20th anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Spitak and Gyumri and to commemorate victims.
On September 24, 2010, Spivakov, with the Youth Symphonic Orchestra of CIS Countries,gave a concert in Yerevan. .----0----
