YEREVAN, July 23. / ARKA /. Armenia’s capital city Yerevan has now 850 hectares of public green zones, according to deputy mayor Kamo Areyan.
He ascribed this ‘unprecedented size of green zones’ to effective work of the municipality and 12 administrative districts of the city.
Speaking at a news conference he said 50,000 trees had been planted this past spring alone.
The deputy mayor also noted that the municipality will have improved another 14 hectares of green zones in the city this year. -0-
