YEREVAN, May 24./ARKA/. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan addressed a congratulatory message to nearly 7,000 teenagers of the capital who are celebrating today the end of their studies at high school, the Municipality reported to ARKA.

The traditional ceremony for this celebration is called “Last bell,” during which  the school-leavers pay their farewell to school.

“Today you are taking the first step on your life path, and whatever direction you choose, it is very important to remember you are the children of the victorious generation. You should be ready to not only maintain, but also develop and enrich all those accomplishments which have been delivered to you at the cost of huge hardship and many deaths,” Margaryan said in his message.

The mayor stated he believed the graduates who were entering a new life would not only preserve but also strengthen the national values which they had  inherited from their parents learnt from their teachers.

“Trust me, we, as an elder generation, get inspired by your each accomplishment, and believe that  you have enough of will and strength to overcome any trouble. We believe you will contribute to the prosperity of our country and capital.”

Margaryan also thanked teachers for their patriotic work.

About 30,000 teenagers across Armenia are today leaving their schools. -0-
