YEREVAN, May 8. / ARKA /. The Yerevan municipality plans to open the second bike track this year, Samvel Mertarjyan, an aide to Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan, said today.
"We hope that the launch of the second track will prompt more of our city fellows to ride bicycles”, - he said.
Mertarjyan said the new bike track will run along many historical and cultural monuments of the capital including Matenadaran depository of ancient manuscripts and Erebuni archaeological museum. He said the municipality will decide the date of the launch of the second track on May 20.
"We do not want to rush because before opening the track we need to solve a lot of questions,” he added.
