Aronian beats Svidler in fourth round

YEREVAN, March 17. / ARKA /. Playing with white Armenia’s grandmaster Levon Aronian defeated Russia’s Peter Svidler in the fourth round of candidates chess tournament in Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk.

Viswanathan Anand (India) vs. Vladimir Kramnik (Russia) and Sergey Karjakin (Russia) vs. Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria) games ended in a draw.  Shahriyar Mammadyarov of Azerbaijan defeated Russia’s Dmitry Andreykin. 

With three points Anand is the leader.  Kramnik and Aronian have 2.5 points each. Topalov and Svidler scored two points, Karjakin and Mamedyarov – 1.5 and Andreykin has one point.
In the fifth round on Tuesday Aronian is playing with black against Kramnik -0 –
