YEREVAN, October 11. /ARKA/. Armenian chess player Levon Aronyan has won the fourth tour of the Grand Slam final tournament in Bilbao, Novosti-Armenia reported referring to RIA Novosti.
Thursday Aronyan, playing with the black pieces, defeated France’s Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.
In the other game, Azeri Shakhriar Mamediarov and British Michael Adams played a draw.
At the moment Adams and Aronyan lead with 6 points each, followed by Vachier-Lagrave (4 poits) and Mamediarov (3 points).
Three points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw and no points for a loss in this tournament. –0--
