Arsen Julfalakyan wins silver medal in London
YEREVAN, August 6. /ARKA/. The representative of the Republic of Armenia, greco-roman wrestler Arsen Julfalakyan (74 kg) won a silver medal at London 2012 Summer Olympic Games Sunday.
In the final Julfalakyan suffered defeat from Russia’s Roman Vlasov. Aleksandr Kazakevic of Lithuania and Azerbaijan's Emin Ahmadov both won bronze medals.
This is the first “silver” of Armenia’s Olympic team in London and the second one in the history of independent Armenia.
Armenian wrestler Armen Mkrtchyan was first to make a place in Armenian history by winning a silver medal at Atlanta Olympic Games.
Arsen Julfalakyan, a son of the famous wrestler, world and Olympic champion Levon Julfalakyan, is a champion of Europe 2009, silver and bronze world champion of 2010 and 2011. —0--
