Football Federation of Armenia not to lower ticket prices
YEREVAN, September 24. / ARKA /. The Armenian Football Federation said it was not going to revise downward the cost of tickets for Armenia - Italy World Cup qualifying game scheduled for October 12 at Hrazdan Stadium in Yerevan. The tickets went on sale from September 24. The Football Federation was asked by Armenian users of Facebook to reduce the price of tickets.
The reconstructed stadium will host for the first time in many years a football match of this level after undergoing an extensive renovation, including replacement of the lighting system, scoreboard and grass cover. Its entire infrastructure was made comply with UEFA and FIFA standards, the Football Federation said in a press release.
The prices of tickets range from 3000 drams (about $ 7) to 10,000 (about 25.5 U.S. dollars).
"The ticket prices will not change, because they are, firstly, several times lower than prices set for similar matches in other countries and, second, by setting four price categories for tickets, the Football Federation of Armenia provides a choice to football fans," the Federation said.
