Electricity generation in Armenia increases by almost 15% in January-July

Armenia's power generating facilities produced about 5.2 billion kWh of electricity in the first half of 2022, which is 14.9% more than in the first half of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's power generating facilities produced about 5.2 billion kWh of electricity in the first half of 2022, which is 14.9% more than in the first half of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
About 2.3 billion kWh of power were generated by thermal power plants (33.5% increase), 1.3 billion kWh - by HPPs (10.7% decrease), and 1.4 billion kWh - by the Armenian nuclear power plant (14.5% increase).
Wind power plants produced 1.2 million kWh of electricity (a 56.7% increase), while solar power plants produced 128.8 million kWh (a 2.6 times increase). -0-
