President visits Softconstruct, Picsart companies
YEREVAN, June 19, /ARKA/. Armenian Serzh Sargsyan attended last Saturday the opening ceremony of the office of Softconstruct IT Company in Yerevan, which is specialized in the development of multi-profile software, Sargsyan’s press service reported.
It said founded in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, strong with a network of over 500 partners worldwide, Softconstract has currently offices in 14 countries.
Accompanied by the Mayor of Yerevan, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies and the company’s founders, the President toured the newly opened office in Nork-Marash administrative district of Yerevan getting acquainted with the investments made so far, the amount of new jobs, the services and development programs. The President was introduced to the opportunities offered by the 2nd office building which is undergoing capital repairs and the planned activities.
During the tour, President Sargsyan was introduced to other activity areas of Badalyan Brothers group of companies who are Softconstract’s founders. The Badalyan Brothers group of companies currently employs 2203 specialists. They are going to create 300 new jobs in 2017.
Serzh Sargsyan next visited Picsart’s local office in Yerevan, which operates in the vicinity of TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in the capital’s Ajapnyak administrative district. The US-based company currently has field offices in San Francisco, Tokyo and Yerevan.
Accompanied by the company’s co-founders and government officials, the President toured the premises to get acquainted with Picsart’s achievements over the past three years, development programs and the objectives for the coming years.
Picsart is especially keen to expand its operations in the field of artificial intelligence and machine training. As the company executives assured, these activities will promote development and competitiveness the IT sector, attract foreign investment and create new startup companies. -0-
