Armenia is eighth most popular destination for Russian tourists to spend May holidays outside their country
YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. Armenian capital city Yerevan is one of the ten most popular destinations for Russian citizens wishing to spend the May holidays outside their country, according to RoomGuru.ru hotel booking service. The ranking is based on hotel reservation data for the period from April 29 to May 10, 2017.
According to the service, Yerevan is the eighth most popular destination. The top ten, besides the capital of Armenia, also includes Minsk, Prague, Barcelona, Baku, Vienna, Tbilisi, Budapest, Tallinn and Riga.
The five most popular Russian cities for trips in the same time span are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod.
According to Russian TurStat agency, in 2017 the number of Russians traveling abroad for weekends has grown by 10% compared to last year.
