YEREVAN, June 25. / ARKA /. Armenia’s ministry of nature protection said 11 public beaches on Lake Sevan will open for citizens on July 1, heralding the beginning of the swim season.
According to a statement on the ministry’s official website, the range of services on the beaches will be expanded. Vacationers will be able to enjoy free parking, children playgrounds, bathrooms, trestle beds and other services.
"Every day, more than 2000 people use public beaches. The number of people using public beaches increased from 100,000 in 2011 to more than 150,000 in 2013,’ the statement says.
It said the ministry plans to open more public beaches for citizens. -0-
