Demand for four- and five-star hotels to be growing in Armenia in coming years
YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Demand for four- and five-star hotels will be growing in Armenia in the coming years, Yeghishe Tanashyan, deputy chairman of Armenian Travel Agencies Union, said today.
“Thanks to investments, private sector’s efforts and Armenia’s participation in various international fairs, we enter new, more solvent markets,” he said. “That is why demand for A-class services and hotels will grow in the coming years.”
Tanashyan said hotel construction in Armenia needs large investments.
“This is that demand for hotel rooms exceeded supply in 2012, and prices have already went up slightly because of the want of hotels,” he said.
Armenia has more than 300 large and small hotels in Yerevan, Tsakhkadzor, Sevan, Jermuk, Dilijan, Gyumri, Goris and other Armenian cities. -0-
