YEREVAN, October 11. /ARKA/. Tourism infrastructures develop faster than the professional community does, Armenian deputy minister of economy Ara Petrosyan said.
Armenia lacks high-standard tourism personnel and this problem is on the government agenda, he added, as “good infrastructure is nothing without personnel”.
Demand for skilled specialists is growing in Armenian tourism market every year, and good education can provide a job in the sector, the deputy minister said.
Today tour companies experience lack of good tour guides and tour managers speaking many languages, Petrosyan said.
According to him, educational institutions should adapt their curricula in a timely manner having in mind high technologies that are widely used in the sector today.
Without competitive specialists the country will fail to be competitive in the tourism market, the deputy minister said.–0--
