WTO conference in Yerevan to promote tourism in Armenia-Minister

YEREVAN, October 18. /ARKA/. “Universal values and cultural diversity in the 21st century: how can tourism make a difference?” international conference held in Yerevan, October 18-19, will promote tourism development in Armenia, Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan points out on Thursday.

The conference was organized by World Tourism Organization.

Representatives of over 15 countries, specifically the U.S., Germany, Italy and Commonwealth of Independent States (post-Soviet countries) are participating at the conference. Yerevan declaration will be signed following the event.

“First of all, I would like to underscore the importance of this event, as the conference is unprecedented in the history of modern Armenia in reference to either professional level of the participants, or a range of the discussable issues,” Minister said.

The conference gives a very good opportunity to present Armenia to the world, as majority of participants have visited Armenia for the first time.

The event is also useful for creating new networking.—0—
